Creating Quotations

Quotations or Quotes are the text fragments that you select in your documents, such as a few sentences from an interview of a paragraph from an article. Each selection that you as a researcher consider important for your research.

Start reading the article and highlight a passage that you find interesting—just like marking something with a highlighter when you read a journal article. To make your "marking" permanent in ATLAS.ti, you need to create a quotation.

Managing Quotations

The quotations can be seen and managed in the Quotation Manager.

In the Quotation Manager you can (for example):

  •  delete quotations;
  • adding remarks;
  • add extra codes to specific quotations.

You can do this in the Quotation Manager under the tab Quotations.
