From the 1st until (and including) the 24th of December, a daily puzzle related to the Hanze Library and our services will be posted here.
 

How does it work?
Each puzzle is a picture puzzle. Look carefully at what is depicted. Sometimes you also have to take into account how or where it is positioned in the image. Just like with a regular rebus, you will also receive clues about, for example, changing certain letters. Just implement them. Please note: sometimes the clues can also be somewhat cryptic.

Example
Let's look at an example of a puzzle:


So, what do you see?
There's a hand, forming the letter E, it's a HAND - E.
The puzzle also states: D = Z, so let's replace the D of HAND with a Z: HAN -  D Z - E -> HANZE.
The solution to this puzzle is: Hanze!

Hints
All the words you have to find are related to the Hanze Library. It can be anything we offer as a product or service, but of course we offer more than just the things that are currently included in the puzzle. For every puzzle you can get a hint about what something is and/or how you can use it. You can also use the hint to find out whether the answer you have found is correct.
 

The solution
You can fill in each of the 24 solutions in the answer sheet, which you can download below. Once you have filled in all the answers, you can read a sentence in the highlighted bar, from top to bottom. Submit your solution to the Hanze Library at one of our locations or email it to hmonderwijs@org.hanze.nl. Please do this before Thursday 8th 23:59 o'clock. We will raffle off a half year subscription to ACLO among the correct entries. The winner will be announced on Friday, 9 January 2026, on our Instagram account and in this Library Guide. Of course, you will also be able to view all the solutions then!
