Working with ATLAS.ti

Basically, working in ATLAS.ti is as follows:

You add documents (e.g. articles, interview transcripts or video material).
You examine these documents and determine which passages are relevant for answering your (research) questions.
You assign codes to these passages, making them easy to find back again.
In addition to the documents you import and the codes you create and assign, you can also write e.g. memos, all in ATLAS.ti.
You can analyse the coded data in various ways.
You can then e.g. draw conclusions and formulate recommendations and create visualisations and reports.
These steps do not necessarily take place in a fixed order and you can also repeat one ore more steps as often as neccessary  (e.g. you can add additional data to your project later in the process).
