Sorting your references

You can sort the references on date, title, author or Ref ID by clicking on Sort by in the right upper corner. RefWorks will remember your choice and sort it in your preferred way next time you open RefWorks.

Display Settings

By clicking on Display, you can choose how many references will be displayed on one page (options vary between 25 and 2000 per page). This choice affects how many references you can select and edit simultaneously.

Citation View settings

In the top right corner you can also alter the Citation View.  You have the options to change the citation view into:

  • Normal View
  • Table View
  • Full View
  • or Citation View. By clicking on the setting icon, you get to adjust the 'Citation View Settings'.

You can choose in what Citation style the references should be displayed.

Important! By clicking on Citation View, you will also be notified if a reference is missing certain meta data, needed to display the reference correctly in the chosen citation style.
